Meet Our Team

Welcome to Sherwood Early Learning & Childcare, a childcare center that provides full time care for children ages 12 months to kindergarten age. Our team is dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for your child to learn and grow. We believe in providing personalized attention to ensure each child feels safe, supported, and valued.

Meet Ms. Ardette Advincula,
Early Childhood Educator

Ms. Ardette, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Management and a Bachelor of Education from the Philippines. A mother of two, an energetic boy and a lovely girl. I moved in Canada year 2016. I worked in food-based industry as Assistant Manager, and has food handling certificate from the Government of Alberta.

Before coming to Canada, I was an Educator in the Philippines for two years. I pursued to get my Early Childhood Educator license in Canada because I love children and I am passionate about supporting their growth and development. One of my hobbies is reading which I always carry to my daily interaction with children in the center.

Say Hello to Ms. Elaine Manansala, Early Childhood Educator

Ms. Elaine is a fourth semester student from Norquest College in Early Childhood Education Diploma Program, and currently in her third in-person practicum. In her practicum, she will be focusing on, understanding children's development, planning play-based experiences for children, using observation to understand children 's development for planning. My goal for this practicum is to foster a positive relationship with children and their families in a respectful manner.

I speak English & Tagalog. I grew up in Manila, Philippines. I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology and was a Manager of People Services before coming to Canada. I enjoy playing with children, I am a big fan of coffee & cheesecake, loves to travel and I am a nature lover.

Meet Ms. Larra Pacquiao,
Early Childhood Educator

Hello, I am Ms. Larra and I am and Early Childhood Educator in Sherwood Early Learning & Childcare. I am a graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Management. I have been in childcare field for three wonderful years.

I am a passionate person who is enthusiastic about working with young children. Working with children can be a challenging one, yet rewarding career. As you care and teach children, you build a strong bond that will stay with you forever. Making an impact on their lives, helping them grow and learn about the world around them is my most favourite part in working in childcare.

I have two wonderful daughters.

Meet Ms. Eliza Galvez!

Early Childhood Educator

Hello, I am Eliza! My family calls me Ka Liza (Big Sister) while my children calls me Nanay, a Filipino word means Mom. I have three wonderful children named, John, Eli, and Camille.

I migrated in 2011 in Edmonton with my Bachelor of Education background, I was able to obtained my level 3 certification as Childcare Supervisor in Edmonton.

Working with children is challenging but despite of being in multicultural country, my love and dedication in Early Childhood field gets stronger. I am more empowered and inspired when I had my own children which makes everything fun and enjoyable. It is a great personal experience to see young children continuously grow in a positive and warm environment which is a gift that I treasure daily in my career.

Our goal at Sherwood Early Learning & Childcare is to support the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of every child in our care. We believe that each child is unique and deserves to be treated with love and respect. Our dedicated team of educators is here to ensure that your child receives the best possible care and education.

As a parent myself, I understand the importance of finding a place where your child feels happy and secure. We strive to create a home away from home, where children can explore, learn, and grow. We value open communication and encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas with us.
